Typically,
parts that are flame-hardened encounter some form
of distortion during the process. Certain applications
require straightening prior to finishing operations.
Chicago Flame
Hardening offers a complete precision straightening
facility to our clients, with close tolerance straightening
as part of the procedure. In many cases we use a combination
of heat and mechanical straightening to achieve the
desired result.
We have a range
of straightening presses up to 150 ton capacity with
the ability to straighten rounds, plates, square stock,
castings and fabrications. Our facility also accepts
straighten-only orders whether mill tolerance or closer.
Chicago Flame
Hardening has straightened many parts that have been
bent during mishaps in operations. This has allowed
our customers to get back on line either permanently
or long enough to manufacture new parts while maintaining
production. |
